Breast swelling

Hi to everyone. I'm from Vic and we're having more humidity than I recall from previous summers. Our summers are normally hot and dry.
I had a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction in 2015 changeover surgery later that year.
Come forward to 2017 and the humidity is giving me curry. No I don't have lymphodema but I am suffering swelling around the implant.
Remedial massage today and I  was reminded of the trauma our nervous and lymphatic system go through with our surgeries.
She also commented that a slight back ache could suggest the kidneys are working hard due to excessive sweating and slight dehydration as a result. Saline is good for that.
The humidity is the main cause and to expect the swelling spasmodically for a few years yet.
Just needed to moan. Between side effects from medication I am reminded that BC just keeps giving.
Take care

  • Oh Iserbrown, I agree Im also in Vic and it really has been horrendous in terms of humidity. Doesnt help the fatigue either! Hydration is so key isnt it, and yes BC keeps giving!! says me been spraying magnesium spray across my shoulders today because cramping in muscles is relentless uuugh!!! LOL Hugs Melinda xo
  • I get around with a wet t towel around my neck and rub it up under my singlet top as well. I avoid direct sun like a vampire.
