Anyone awake? 2nd chemo today & I can’t sleep re anxiety
Well my 1st actual chemo wasn’t too bad except that I ended up in emergency the day after & admitted for several days re a cellulitis infection & my heart enzymes were up ...... then I had a visit from a man from infectious diseases to tell me that I was exposed to a confirmed case of measles when I was in emergency. They couldn’t give me the booster shot as it is a live vaccine so they had to get an immune globulin? Injection sent to my hospital ....... I did finally go home but I should never have asked what else was the universe going to throw at me lol.
Yep, I ended up back in emergency with cellulitis now on my arm ..... same arm that the IV drip was in ...... as well as blood clots in that arm.
Hence my anxiety & apprehension re today’s chemo session. I am on blood thinners now but if my other arm gets clots, I’ll have no more arms to use ..... ahhhhh ...... I’m also worried about my heart as I don’t know if that was affected by the chemo or the cellulitis infection. My brain is in overdrive atm & won’t switch off.

- No, not at the moment. My boyfriend was meant to be here but he’s now looking at Saturday night. I think that delay has only added to my anxiety.
The lady who’s currently coming to feed my horses twice a day is very good, if something was to go wrong. I’m still not allowed to use the arm with the clots for any real work for another couple of weeks. That’s very frustrating. - Do u have someone at home with u in the days after chemo??
- I managed to get a few hours sleep but weird dreams. I have just over an hour before the transport picks me up. I think the actual chemo will be ok ..... it’s the day/s after the chemo that are worrying me. Hopefully nothing wrong will happen this time.
I hadn’t realised how bad my anxiety was until last night. - I can’t imagine how scary it was for u. I really hope that it all goes well and u don’t have any problems. Hope u managed to get back to sleep. xoxo

Thank you Kiwi Angel. My anxiety is awful atm. I’m about to try sleeping again ...... I just did 4 sudoku puzzles to try to settle my brain .... they sometimes help lol
I keep telling myself that they’ll be on top of things this time & I am now on blood thinners ....... but it’s always the unknown & ‘what if’. I think it was the 2nd infection & the clots that did my head in. I’ve had a clot in my lung many years ago .... it brought it all back. I never want to go through that ever again.
