Well that sucks.
From personal experience, if you can avoid having major surgery over the holiday period it's wise to do so. If it needs to happen now, so be it. If you feel like you will go mad and starting gnawing at the bad boob if you have to wait, take the first appointment.
Hospitals are devoid of most specialists for about a month--which doesn't matter if everything goes smoothly. If there are post op complications things can get awkward. Sorry for sounding like the voice of woe, but it's worth mentioning. MXX
