Results back- notifing my mum

Hi all thanks for your comments and ideas. I did tell my mum that they found a lump and they have removed it. At first she was a little bit teary but I said it has all gone now just need a bit of extra treatment to make sure it does not come back. Radiation treatment. So mum asked me probably 5 times how I found the lump and explained it was through a mammorgram but was very small 9mm. Mum knows now something has occurred but is not sure. Next day Saturday as usual I always take mum out for lunch and she just said I thought you were resting, I said l am ok and have been resting and no work for the next week. Mum seemed fine with this explanation, so I am confident it will be all ok.
