Newly diagnosed
I'm 39 from Hervey Bay QLD I have just been diagnosed with Invasive Breast Cancer HER2 positive and ER positive. Looks like I've caught it early. My first appointment with surgeons is in 2 weeks. I have no information and no idea what treatment may be other then lumpectomy. Anxious and scary with so many unknowns.

If you don't need chemo, you may be able to get the Herceptin as a subcutaneous injection, which takes much less time than IV. They just stick it in your thigh and slowly inject it over a few minutes. - @Suki I had my first appointment today with the surgeon consultant. It went well, answered a lot of my question, all that she could answer. I have skin cancer surgery next week and finally a gyno follow up.
Looks like Ill be starting Herception, and then a long term hormone blocker. At this stage chemo is unlikely, as we have caught it so early. but that will depend on the lumpectomy results. all should be done within the next few weeks after they have their meetings. - Hi @Aliesha

BCNA Helpline team 🙂 - @Tri my breast density mammogram Bi-rads score was C. thick boobies. My results just say Invas@Tri Breast Cancer. I thought that was IDC, my tumor is a lump can see it on scans and physically feel it. I have had ultrasound, 3D mommogram, biopsy and staging Ct with contrast.
