Newly diagnosed, now waiting, doesn’t feel real

Thank you @Edithead, @Julez1958 and @Aska, just knowing that you understand and that how I’m feeling is not unusual is such a great help.  The concept of grieving for my formerly bulletproof self resonates a lot.  I’m known as the independent, strong and healthy one in my family (who, aside from husband and daughter, all live overseas) and I haven’t told them some of them yet. Thanks for the suggestion of the Upfront about Breast Cancer podcast, I listened to a couple of episodes today and they were brilliant :)   My circle of friends here in Australia is small and I’ve always been independent to a fault so the thought of reaching out to ask for help is hard. Writing the post was a big step - not done something like that before!  Thank you for responding xxx
