Hi there, I feel similar to you. I'm 3 months into chemo and finding menopause so difficult.. I'm 48 and had a right side mastectomy in October. My emotions are so wild! And the hot flushes and weight gain feel so draining. I feel hijacked by my emotions and it's affecting my relationship. I'm going to speak to my oncologist to see if I can take anything. My breast cancer is oestrogen positive so I can't take much. It's really comforting to me to know I'm not alone.

I'm right there with you Nicola_Holiday. I'm 47, was pushed over into menopause by chemo and I'm now on Tamoxifen. It's hot flushes and emotional regulation that are the issues for me as well.
In terms of the emotional side of things, I got a lot out of speaking with the nurse counsellor at the Cancer Council - even just for her to say "what you're going through and your responses to it are completely normal". Like you say, it's comforting to know you're not alone.
