Hello again Nicole. Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. If you have triple negative breast cancer, this means that you do not have any of the three types of receptors commonly found on breast cancer cells. The three receptors are: Oestrogen receptors (ER)Progesterone receptors (PR)Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2). This type of cancer responds well to chemo but is agressive. Only 15 percent of women diagnosed with breast cancer are triple negative.
