Hello Sharon, sorry to hear of your diagnosis but I'm so glad you found us early. We have all been where you are and you're right, it's completely overwhelming at first. There is a huge amount of information to take in and that's where this forum is fantastic. Even though all our diagnoses and treatment is different you always find someone to give some advice or just listen. We understand how you feel - we completely get it.
Have you ordered your My Journey Kit yet. You can do that through the BCNA online site and it's
a wonderful resource of information.
Have you been told anything about your breast-cancer? Once surgery is booked and you have a treatment plan in place you will feel so much better. I know that seems impossible now but having some control will help.
Try and take somebody with you to your appointments. A second person to take notes or simply listen is really helpful. I kept a notebook and jotted down every question I could think off between my surgeon appointments and it doesn't matter how silly you think the question is! Otherwise I could guarantee once I was in front of the specialist I would forget to ask something.
It's horrible to have to go through this but you will be amazed at how strong you are. You're not doing this alone, you have the support of everyone here.
Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. Jane xx
