Survivor for nine years now!
This month I had my annual check-up with my breast cancer surgeon in Sydney. Once again I received the all clear after a bit of a scare from the ultrasound, and ensuing biopsies. I'm now a nine year survivor! How grateful and blessed I am to have been given a second chance at life.
These past nine years have brought many changes for me and my family. About ten years ago, I retired from secondary school teaching and am now a fully qualified meditation facilitator/teacher. This work is a continual source of joy for me. Last weekend I ran my first residential meditation retreat at Galong, on the beautiful SW slopes of NSW. It was terrific to see the participants enjoy the weekend so very much. This has given me much encouragement to organise another residential meditation retreat later in the year.
Of course I'll still be running my six week meditation course One again this spring; and next year I'll start teaching my Meditation Course II, for those who have already participated in Course I.
With my husband of 35 years, our children, grandchildren and many wonderful friends, I'm looking forward to the next twelve months of living and sharing my life with peace, gratitude and love.
May you be blessed with love, peace, contentment and gratitude.
