That may also be part of the problem. I had a seroma which lingered for 12 months. It was very large and very persistent. I was advised not to have a prosthesis fitted until it resolved (which took surgery). While soft pads were a pain in the neck, my seroma was sufficiently significant that I could see that a fitting was not a good idea. I had several aspirations so the whole area went up and down like an inflatable cushion! Once it resolved however there has been no more fluid, and my bra/prosthesis is fine.
