Your phalenopsis orchid is beautiful and in good condition. The leaves are a giveaway. Ian is most envious as he has not this one. Most of ours are yellow, white or purple. We have not been able to acquire the spotted multi coloured phalenopsis orchids. 

I would love to see the franjipanie photo that is the colour of the "post comment" box.

We have the common white, Darwin Red, yellow and the multi coloured tropical franjipanies. I am trying my hand at grafting a white and yellow. So far I've not had much success. But I will keep trying. Eventually 1 must succeed.

Desert roses are another favourite plant. I love how the base of a desert rose becomes bulbous when the plant is confined to a pot. Desert roses do well when they are pot bound.

@tigerbeth I wish wisteria  would grow up here. It looks just great tumbling over the timber fence.

WOW!  @"Annie C" - over 200 orchids - and @tigerbeth - 1500!!!   O  M  G!!!

I have 1!   ;)    My brother gave it to me after my BC Surgery - it is just coming out in flower now!  :)    He started by collecting our neighbour's 'cast offs' (he was a professional orchid grower, selling them to local Flower/Plant sellers & local markets ...) and he now has a dedicated glass house for them, plus HEAPS outside the Kitchen on the wooden table & window sill!  LOL  He is on his way to 200, easily, I reckon!!  Got a while to go before he gets to 15000 tho!  ;)  

Hubby is under strict destructions NOT TO WATER the plant ..... but he still does it at least once a week!  :(  I've filled the bowl with old coins so the orchid is sitting 'proud' & hopefully doesn't sit in the water that he puts in (and I check every day - even tho I've written it on the bowl!)  Oh the joys of dementia!  :( 



He also gave me a magnificent Frangipani that he 'bred' .... it is the same colour as the 'Post Comment' box! It is GORGEOUS!   I am trying to find a pic I took .... it is proving difficult!  :(

I had better confess. I only held the screw driver in place while "bush mechanic" husband cable tied it.

I was also only ignition key turner while said husband pumped / primed fuel filter. 

However it was my idea of the cable ties. I reckon they are the best thing ever invented!

Not on our walks but on our drives.

A little bit of Kimberley ingenuity.

Currently on a short break of 5 days in Port Hedland (750kms from home). Catching up with old friends.  Navarra diesel fuel filter is leaking from bleeder pipe and so  sucking in air. Trip down involved pumping fuel filter to bleed inlet every time we stopped. Could not get new part for love or money in Hedland. Problem solved using Phillips head screw driver shoved into bleeder pipe and cabled tied in place. A bit of Kimberley ingenuity and the car starts and no leaking diesel!!! 
It will get us home tomorrow.

Temperature in Hedland is currently 36.6 degrees. No humidity.
