A while back there was a lovely thread of sunrises that the early risers among us posted. I loved it, so I thought I'd broaden it to a thread for all the lovely sights we see as we do our slow stagger...
We went to Paronella Park today 140km south of Cairns.A century ago a Spanish migrant called Jose Paronella built a castle in a 5 Ha rainforest .It housed a cinema , ballroom , tennis courts , a cafe etc but has been damaged by fire and cyclones .Today it’s like Sleeping Beauty’s castle and eerily beautiful. The photos in no way do it justice . Quite a testimony to one’s man life work.Well worth a visit.
