Sorry to see you joining us here Shae .... it's good that you had your surgery quite quickly, following your diagnosis.
I had private surgery, but went public for both Radiation Onc and my Medical Oncologist & I couldn't fault the treatment. I have my final appt with my Medical Onc next week!! I've seen the same Oncs throughout my 7 year treatment, unless they were ill or having babies - and then I saw their Locum. The Alfred has a very good name .... and being so close to you, is a real bonus!
You will also most likely see both a medical and radiation oncologist, for discussion on further treatment re radiation & hormone suppression meds and/or the need for chemo. I dodged the chemo bullet - just had Radiation & the Tabs.
Here's a list of questions to consider putting to your Surgeon - write down the ones you want to ask & tick them off, as they are addressed. .... and always ask for copies of your surgical and scan results. I'd recommend that you also record your appointments on your phone, so you can go over it again if you need to at home - as it is hard to remember everything that is said. Take a trusted friend with you as a separate set of ears (and for support!)
