If you are rural, @YellowRobin - you can also claim on petrol/travel and accomodation costs for any of your earlier appointments & future reviews (if you have to travel more than 200k in a week to get to & from appointments, or 100k each way) - you claim via IPTAAS NSW online.  Your GP or Surgeon may have to approve the initial application .....

hello @arpie, thank you! I’m through EC and now on the taxol weekly. Two different experiences but I’m still standing. Anyone had the nerve symptoms, how did they start? 

@YellowRobin - SO annoying - it is only 50k each way to qualify for fuel rebate in Qld! I wish it was here! There is no way that anyone in Sydney will need to travel even 50k to see quality health professional ......  Yep - with your rads, you'll be travelling each day - so will more than exceed the 200k a week!

Just make sure you download the forms, fill them in with dates of your travel & get them to sign them off for you.  ;)

My surgeon called tonight to say the tumour had good margins and my sentinel lymph node is clear. I will be starting chemo in 3 weeks followed by radiation. What a relief. However I feel guilty that I got off so lightly so far. Huge hugs to you all.

Just rest up, recover, but just keep as busy as you can, to stop that brain going into overdrive!!  You'll be meeting with your Onc soon, to nut out what your chemo treatment is - so don't try & over guess it  xxx

@YellowRobin it’s good to hear about the margins and clear sentinel node. Time to heal and to get organised for your next stage!

@YellowRobin That's great news. Get rid of that word "guilty" from your vocabulary! All the best for chemo. Rock your turbans with big earrings. When you get to radiation, try to get StrataXRT; my radiation oncologist gave me a tube that lasted the whole six weeks and it worked superbly.
