Watercolours

Just wondering if anyone else on here paint with watercolours.  
I started painting in acrylics about 5 years ago but quickly switched to watercolours as the cleanup is much easier. Brushes just need a couple of swishes in my water jar and the paints can be left to dry out and can be reactivated with water whenever I get back to it. I’m lucky enough to have an unused bedroom as my art studio so if I’m tired or sore, I can just give the brushes a quick wash and walk out and shut the door. It doesn’t matter if I leave it for a few hours, days, weeks or months, it will still be there and ready to restart any time I want.  
I’ve attached some of my original works. I hope you like them. 💕

    Those artworks are GORGEOUS SYLV1E​ !!   
    I can actually see the quirky ones being used as illustrations for a Children's story book!   Well done YOU!!
    The Hotel is gorgeous & I can only imagine the work you've put into it!! 
    I wonder if doing a 'Google Lens' search on your painting might bring up any 'older' pics of some that you are researching?  Here 'tis - Pic probably taken in the 70s!  you are SO accurate!!

      I love seeing the older photos. The Neath Hotel was lucky as it still has its 2nd floor balcony. A lot of the pubs around here had to have the balconies removed when double-decker buses came in. Supposedly, for pubs on a corner, the balcony’s kept getting hit by the top deck of the buses due to the lean on the buses as they took the corners! Crazy isn’t it! 😃. 
      Here’s some before and after photos of the Criterion Hotel at Weston that had the balcony removed and my version of the old one.

      Thank you Mez_BCNA​.  Some are done quite quickly in just a few hours but I would still spread that out over two or more sessions but the Hotel paintings take several weeks.   
      I usually take a week or more to research the Hotel’s as I like to paint them in their original glory.  So many have been changed so much over the years that it can be hard to figure out the colours used. It’s reasonably easy to find old photos but of course they’re always in black and white. I’ve been painting the local Hotel’s in our area so my husband and I go and do a reconnaissance to see if we can see original brick, facade and trim colours.  
      It can be tricky.
