Thank you Mez_BCNA. Some are done quite quickly in just a few hours but I would still spread that out over two or more sessions but the Hotel paintings take several weeks.
I usually take a week or more to research the Hotel’s as I like to paint them in their original glory. So many have been changed so much over the years that it can be hard to figure out the colours used. It’s reasonably easy to find old photos but of course they’re always in black and white. I’ve been painting the local Hotel’s in our area so my husband and I go and do a reconnaissance to see if we can see original brick, facade and trim colours.
It can be tricky.
