You know you're on chemo when...
Hi everyone,
I thought I'd start a thread to try and find the funny side of chemo, as I truly feel as though I've had my funny bone removed. Usually my sense of humour is what defines me and gets me through the hard parts of life. I don't know how you all feel but I've struggled to find myself in the last 6 weeks since my journey began, and now as I approach my 2nd chemo treatment, I could do with a boost by people who are travelling a similar road to mine.
So I'll start off, and I hope you can share your funny experiences with me....
You know you're on chemo when... you do your hair with a lint remover.

I have one already.......You know you are on chemo when day 2 or 3 your hubby says are you still weeing red!!
You know you are on chemo when it is only day four of your first cycle and you can only manage to do one househole chore then have to si/layt down then another and have to sit/lay down. Could take all day to get the washing done and doing vacuuming floors just isn't on the agenda at present. The tiredness may also have something to do with all the toing and froing to Perth, I am hoping so anyway.
LOL xox

Hi Mich! In a couple of weeks you should have one to add to this blog.
I have a new one to add:
You know you're on chemo when your biggest achievement in a day is being able to vacuum the floor (just the one room of course). Woo hoo!!!!!
Mich, take the little wins when you can and don't forget to high five yourself occasionally. We're here with you and for you.

Hi girls
I love this blog!!! I am due to start my chemo on Friday and I am petrified about the side effects. BUT I really had a laugh which is very much needed as my sense of humor has currently gone out the window.
Keep them coming girls, I will be looking for them and definitely needing the humor after Friday I am sure.
LOL

LOL Maxine, the one about the wig is great, I am sorry to say if you lose the wig while out with me I will not be able to stop laughing, that was my greatest fear and that is why I wear a hat. Take care my friend XX
