You know you're on chemo when...
Hi everyone,
I thought I'd start a thread to try and find the funny side of chemo, as I truly feel as though I've had my funny bone removed. Usually my sense of humour is what defines me and gets me through the hard parts of life. I don't know how you all feel but I've struggled to find myself in the last 6 weeks since my journey began, and now as I approach my 2nd chemo treatment, I could do with a boost by people who are travelling a similar road to mine.
So I'll start off, and I hope you can share your funny experiences with me....
You know you're on chemo when... you do your hair with a lint remover.

I hope this blog never ever ends. Cause I can relate to a lot of it as I go along my journey and it makes me laugh which is the best medicine I could have at the moment so thanks heaps girls and keep em comin.

You know you're on chemo when strangers say: "Great bandana! Are you supporting CanTeen?" and your answer leaves them needing therapy!!!
You know that you are on chemo when you are reading all these great blogs, think of one, go to write it but oh no it has gone from the brain already....
I love it! My hair has just started growing back and I was so excited the other day that my foundation was now only needed for my face!!
I agree! It is so nice to read all of these thoughts and know that I was not going insane!!
You know you are on chemo when you plan that as part your day tomorrow you are going to do your face up and make your stage 2 hair cut all nice; then take a happy snap for the album!!!!!! This is to pass on to your sisters who haven't seen you since you did stage 1 haircut and BEFORE ou do the BIG SHAVE. So this will be the B4 photo. :-) LOL

You know you are on chemo when you manage to vacuum the whole house in one day. One room, rest, next room, rest, next room, resssstt, next room, resssssssttttttt, next room, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. There goes today.
That was a big win for me and I did give myself a major hi five girlfriend.

You know you are on chemo when the excitement of the day occurs in the toilet. WooT! And your taste buds decide to knock back a glass of champagne.. and you get sick of the sight of water.
