I think some people just assume chemo with any similar diagnosis.
As Brenda said, not everyone requires chemo but if there was any doubt you would have been encouraged to do so.
With a fellow osteo sufferer I can relate to your frustration but you will get past this pain level. I now see an acupuncturist so pain killers are rarely required. Over the years I have learnt to 'pace' myself and on those really bad days when my legs won't work I make sure a good book is at hand. Have you got a support network, someone you can talk to ?
