TerryTee, your appointment will go through where you will be having your radiation, how many sessions, you will meet the nurse who you will be in close contact with throughout your treatment.
A technician will go through the procedure and what is involved and do measurements so when you start Radiotherapy the radiologist will have everything adjusted for your treatment ready when you arrive.
When you start Radiotherapy you are in and out very quickly, it is so well organised.
The dr will go through your case and how much treatment is recommended, the nurse will go through any side affects related to radiation treatment, they will discuss creams, what to do before and after daily treatment. I found the nursing staff where I went, to be so good and always had time for you. You will be given information booklets.
I started preparing for Radiotherapy in purchasing Moo Goo udder cream for using after treatment. There are many other creams, just remember to apply several times a day after treatment to keep your skin moisturised.
Purchase some crop tops, something that is easy to get on and off for comfort, also stops the cream from spoiling your clothing.Drink plenty of fluids.
I found my experience very positive, I hope you have the same.

I can’t specifically remember what questions I had asked as the nurse went through things so thoroughly.
