Vein damage
I had a left mastectomy and had chemo intravenously in the right hand and arm. I now have very visibly tight veins and vein tracking which is uncomfortable.
It's now 4 months post chemo.... Will this ...
I didn't get a port.
My veins reacted the very first treatment.
From there on in, they could only use a veing that was at the knuckle between my ring finger and the tall one next door.
My "everything" melted and I bruised easily, had problems with circulation, and got chemo brain.
I am told all of that has to do with the chemo damaging your circulatory system.
Six months later, I had blood tests in my elbow area. Tiny little veins but they worked.
I no longer bruise like I used to.
My circulation is improving.
YES.....it does get better. It just takes time.
I drink three bottles of water a day......and always have since I was diagnosed.
