Treatment Effect

Hi Guys.  Initially I was told that I would need no Rad's after Mastectomy, but after going for a follow up check last Friday I might have to see the Rad Onc as they found 7 cm of  "Treatment Effect" on my pathology results from mastectomy.  It is the first time I have heard of this name and it is something they have no idea what it was and can't test for. Could have been tissue or a cluster of cells. It was never picked up in myriad of scans.  Good news was chemo knocked it all on the head. Has anyone heard of this Treatment Effect before and did they need Radiation for it.

    I've heard the term, but don't really have an explanation for it that I can put in to words. Do you have a breast care nurse you could contact for an explanation.
    My vague undersanding would be something to the effect of that they found an area or areas where there was perhaps tissue showing evidence if cell death???
    I would be interested in hearing any explanation that you get.
