Sedation is a very good idea on occasions, particularly if you are the one making the decision. We know ourselves best.
I'll take a pill when it suits me--I am a bloody nightmare when I'm stressed and backed into a corner. I'd rather chill than apologise so I plan ahead. It takes about 40 mins for a sedative to take affect and if you think you need one, call time and swallow it. It's better for everyone else to wait until you are medicated than to have screaming meltdowns (and that is from the staff)
