The most newbie question ever?
I’ve searched and honestly cannot find an answer to this in factsheets or anywhere else... what does chemo feel like when it’s being administered? Is it cold? Room temperature? Do you not really notic...

Hi @RiotAtMidnight , like @Afraser said, dont get too worrried if your husband cant be there, I did all my chemo last year without being able to have a support person, and the nurses were marvelous. Made sure I had everything I needed. I took vegemite bagel crisps with me, as they were my go to snack when feeling a little nauseous. I only had Paclitaxel, and sucked on a fruit tingle when the infusion started, as I found I got a strange taste in the back of my throat. I did the cold cap therapy a well, and found about half way through each infusion I would fall asleep.
The unknown is the hardest part, once you have had the first treatment a lot of anxiety should dissipate. Just be kind to yourself, its ok to have a good cry. We have all had different experiences here, and you only have to ask a question, and someone will have been sure to have some words of support for you.
Good luck, once you start, you are one step closer to finishing treatment.
