Taxol - Reducing dose or stopping early due to neuropathy

I had 4 AC and 4 Dox - and before the 3rd dose of dox (forgotten how to spell it) my husband asked if we could stop the chemo.  I was not getting over the doses before the next one.  Had a list of things, neuropathy was one.  He advised us not to stop - I was stage 3 Grade 3 -  and as my cancer had reached the blood he said it was too risky to stop.  So listen to your onc - they will know - they will take as little or as much chances for you to come through this well.
