Strata XRT gel

I have just started radiotherapy and am using Strata XRT gel. Would like to hear anyone’s experience with this product and any tips on surviving 25 rounds of radio.  Cheers 😊

  • I used it. Worked really well. Make sure you cover the whole area being zapped. Just ask if doubt . I used sparingly as instructed after treatment ( had early appointment ) and before bed each night .
  • I used Strata XRT during radiotherapy and it was amazing. You only need a very small amount and I was advised that using more actually made it less effective so be sparing. I didn't do under my arm or on my back for the first 3 weeks because I wasn't sure where it all ended and i just used moogoo on that area and the difference was marked. I got a lot redder and irritated where I didn't use the XRT cream. It is expensive but it absolutely was worth it for me.
  • Hello 🙂. I didn’t use the strata cream, I used Mepitel instead so I can’t really help you there. I have heard really positive things about it though. Other tips are moisturise the area constantly, even if you don’t see redness straight away. It usually appears after the 3rd week, and by then it’ll be too late, so do it from now. Also drink plenty of water to stay hydrated internally, and rest. It does make you tired.
Good luck. It should go past pretty quickly 🍀♥️
