BTW little titty name, why lie it's the first time I was glad I didn't have much.

  • Love the name @littletitty . Yep, that sounds about right. Chemo is a diabolical thing because as soon as you feel good you feel terrible then you feel OK then you're good then you feel terrible. Rinse and repeat. Marg xxx
  • Is that AC? Yes...U was a bit yuck first night, pretty okay second and 3rd then down like a ton of bricks after that and flat for a week. Just ride the wave and keep up medications. The worse days was after stopping the dexamethasone as it helped nausea and energy. I needed it adjusted to 4 days cycle 2. Kath x
  • It seems any number of terrible side effects can be 'normal' during chemo. We are all a bit different. I had my TAC infusions on Thursdays. Fridays I felt fine, little tired on Saturdays, then Sundays BAM the 'Mac truck' rolled on over me. Each day was a little better after the Sunday until I felt reasonably normal after about 10 days.
  • Hi @"little titty" sorry to hear you're going through chemo.  I found AC chemo to be quite the "yuck" experience.  Yuck was the only word that could describe it.  I found it was important to keep up with the anti-nausea meds prescribed around the clock for at least the first week after chemo.  That helped the nausea lots.  I basically spent the week and a half after chemo resting as my body couldn't do much else.  Then came the good days, usually the week before you had to go and do it all again.  I also kept taking Coloxyl gentle laxitive as my digestive system just stopped while I was on chemo.  It helped keep my digestive system moving.  Drinks lots too, to keep hydrated.  Good luck with the next round and take it easy.

  • Hi!  yes it is a so and so and fatigue is a factor.  If possible try and give it into and rest as you will need strength for the treatment regime and pushing yourself doesn't help!

    Take care
  • Thanks, looking forward to the ride.
I go back in a fortnight for my next treatment. Can hardly wait.
It doesn't help when you have no support at home. But I will stay positive I have no choice.

  • Hi @little titty
This was pretty much my experience also. Had my first TC treatment on a Friday, Sunday night it was like 'bam, just tricking, got you'! You will find that even people on the same drug regime may react differently. I also found that I reacted differently after each treatment (4 in all). Go figure : /.
Welcome to the wild ride - hugs to you.
