Shake, Shake, Shake!

Hi Troopers!

From today's blog on FB

Hope you are all sailing along smoothly and for those who aren't big hugs for a gentle day...

Day 3 - after round 1;

(Slept most of the day away yesterday, but felt a little better than the day before..)

Slept through the night until 5 am, damn alarm clock! Oh well hubby has to go to work! Life goes on..

As soon as my eyes were open, hell fire ignited in my belly again ...Grrr!
Managed a cup of tea and some weet bix to swallow down my tablets. My stomach protested the whole time, but I've got to eat! One thing that is new is I have the mega shakes! I mean spilled my tea shakes! Don't know if its from the steroids or a side effect of chemo...down on my list that goes to ask the Oncologist.

I have a follow up appointment with Onc today. And I already have my chemo schedule, my next round is 8/3/16. hopefully I will get better with every day and get to do some things before my next round, getting a bit stir crazy staying home all the time.

Some good news is my right arm is getting easier to straighten! so I may even attempt to bust out the pencils! My scars from my surgeries are healing well and aren't giving me too much trouble now...

I am thankful I feel a little better today. Will still take it easy though I have a terrible habit of overdoing stuff when I'm feeling good, but I am learning I'M way more important than the housework!

  • Hi Tracey.  I had first chemo on Tuesday as well.  I also have the shakes.  Anyone have any ideas?  I have heard the chemo can affect magnesium levels which I think can give shakes or maybe its the steroids.  best wishes Helen
