results after mastectomy & chemo plan
On 23rd May I had a skin & nipple sparing mastectomy, all went well with the surgery. My wound has healed well.
3 weeks post surgery I still have the drain in, finally today the output is down to 40ml, i'm hoping it's the same or less tomorrow so I can get it gone!
They removed all 17 lymph nodes and all 17 were cancerous. They were able to leave 1mm of healthy tissue between my cancerous spots & my chest wall. Originally there were 3 spots, but the Dr i saw said only two - apparently two had merged into the one. Estrogen & Progesterone positive, HER2 negative
I saw the Oncologist yesterday & have my chemo plan; I start chemo on 26th June. The plan is - Doxorubicin & Cyclophosphamide every 2 weeks for a total of 4 times. Following that, Paclitaxel every 2 weeks for a total of 4 times.

Following that will be radiation & hormone blockers for 5 years.

- LMK74MemberThat's awesome, I hope you have no bad side effects from chemo. Lovely that your friend gave you a plant. Take it easy.
- MKitty68Member@LMK74. Still no nausea, I just went grocery shopping as I needed a few things & was all out of pet food, that's made the fatigue hit though. So rest time now.
My brekky anti nausea pill was at 10:30, so I'll have the lunchtime one with a snack now I'm home.
Otherwise I'm doing pretty good. I had a lovely friend visit this morning with some morning tea and a lovely gift of a pot plant for me. - LMK74MemberMkitty68, I hope you're feeling ok today.
