results after mastectomy & chemo plan

Hey,mkitty, good luck tomorrow and really hope the nausea goes. Moving house sucks at the best of times but when you're unwell it truly sucks. Wish I could help in some way, I don't drive myself. 

Well, so far was so good.... I'd been up baking fresh bread on Wednesday night, went for a lovely walk with my dog yesterday, went home & rested. 
I was making a chicken veggie soup with leeks in it - i often just leave the slow cooker on overnight & take care  of it in the morning, so that's what I did last night.... BIG mistake - i had moderate nausea hit me this morning waking to the smell of leeks right throughout the house & a damn headache that doesn't want to go away today, i'm also aching. Felt a bit like morning sickness all over again... so i won;t be doing that again! 
Today I've had to contact rental agencies and book in to view properties tomorrow with my boyfriend, who also has to work tomorrow afternoon as well as Sunday now. Now tonight I need to fill out the applications for us both (i'm an ex-property manager) & collate all of the info needed for applications for at least 2 properties that we like & are viewing tomorrow.

Then there'll be the full on packing etc getting ready to move in about 3 weeks. 
I have a girlfriend who has asked if i would allow her to get a team together to do the bond clean for me - she's a bc survivor herself and want's to help, so I've gratefully accepted her generous offer. 
Lets just hope i don't get the nausea & headache tomorrow as i need to drive across town to pick up my man so we can drive in the car to the inspections rather than on his rather loud bike! LOL need to make a good impression ;-)

Hi there MKitty I live north side of brisbane and had treatment at redcliffe hospital I also had the dose dense 4 of the AC and 4 of the paclitaxol, If you need anything or would love to chat, I finished chemo in october last year and had a portacath my left boob off and mt right one off because I chose to and had a seroma in that side as well. I had triple negative bc, Ill PM you would like to meet for a coffee??? I also work at a GP clinic that will see you ANYTIME no matter what and we could of given you the IV antibiotics you needed too Margie :)

Oh ok, maybe it's with different Chemos, I had 4 FEC the red devil 3 weeks apart uuuugh, horrible!! then 8 Taxol.That's great they recommended it for you. Honestly I was so sick through Chemo I could barely eat for 4.5 months but put on 6kg ha!! still cant get it off and am exercising etc.,  Isnt the dexamethasone the steroid? I took that as they said but was on Maxolon for nausea, that didnt work in fact none of them did lol. Ativan was the only thing that helped keep me on an even keel and help me sleep.

my oncologist recommended I start on Vit D & Calcium - he was pleased when i said I had - maybe it's just for different types of chemo? 
They have given me the anti nausea pills for today & tomorrow, 1 with brekky & 1 with lunch only (Dexamethasone) and they gave me Metoclopramide as a back up. The dex they said will make me unable to sleep, but the Met will make me sleepy

Thats great you got the Coloxyl, I found they helped alot. Great no nausea either! usually hits about day 3 along with feeling youve been hit by a truck, hopefully you've dodged it all! Doing great so far! :) Oh just check with your Team about which Vitamins you want to take too, I've heard some ladies say on here that they'd been told some can interfere with Chemo. I didnt take any vitamins until end of Chemo, I guess as I felt that Chemo was depleting everything so the vitamins wouldnt last. Generally youd be put on Vitamin D but not until after chemo as it will deplete further due to chemo, but once finished they'll come back up :)

Oh I know! I also got some voost energy stuff, it's a soluble multi vitamin plus guarana 

I'm having to take two every night the whole time on this chemo. The constipation has been bad all through. All this Crap we have to go through lol. A pill to counteract this side effect ,another pill for this that and the other.

I got the Coloxyl whilst I was out too, so will take one of those, although I've not yet encountered any issues as yet
