Re-excision Successful !!!!
After being recently being diagnosed with a new primary tumour in my other breast 13mths after my first diagnosis, & undergoing a lumpectomy & re-exision within a week, I finally got some good news yesterday. The re-excision for the large area of remaining high grade DCIS was successful!!!!!!
This means I get to keep my breast & will just need to undergo Radiation therapy again (had it in other breast last year) & have the Tamoxifen discussion with the Oncologist (again!).
The house is pretty much packed up ready for the move on Fri & the bonus is Port Macquarie has an Oncology Unit so I can have my Radiation Therapy there too.
Here's hoping that having had Breast Cancer both breasts now that's it for me - thank goodness we only have 2 rather than 3 boobs!
Thankyou everyone for your ongoing support, well wishes & kindness during this challenging time.
