My mum had bc 35+ years ago. It was one treatment -mastectomy.
I am constantly amazed at how personal my bc treatment is. I am not getting a standardised care rather, by measuring dozens of criteria and asking many questions, they are caring for and treating 'me'. I notice this when they explain something that's happening, beginning with, "because you have such and such type of cancer" or " because you are X years old and premenopausal". I also notice when they remember details I have told them on previous visits. This greatly encourages me and I feel the future is brighter for those who come after us.
