Radiotherapy and nausea

Hello lovely people, just looking for some thoughts. I finished my 25 sessions of radiotherapy last week. My skin is ok but I still feel quite nauseous most days. Is that normal? When will it go away do you think?

  • Well done on completing your rads, @StarGirl - bugger about the nausea tho.

I have heard that some get nausea as a side effect ..... I hope that it passes soon.   Take your time, especially when standing up from getting out of bed and/or chair ..... it may make you feel light headed.

Rest up, allow yourself to be a little spoiled by the family - keep your fluids up (it is easy to get dehydrated when nauseous.  Maybe stay away from spicy food for a while ....

Good luck, hope you are feeling better soon xxx
  • Hello StarGirl - I had 15 'zaps' last Sept and although fatigue was significant I did not experience any nausea. I'm sure others will share any nausea experiences with you but in the meantime phone your Breast Care Nurse. xBeryl
