  • Hi Tansy,

I used Qv cream on the breast 3 times a day. I also used sorbelene lotion to wash in. I had 33 treatments and my skin only started to breakdown on the 2nd last treatment. Good luck. Karen xox

  • Ask about the silicon bandages some hospitals use them. But as I understand not all size breasts work well. I helped I ended up with a red boob after 24 treatments but no serious burns. The nipple got a bit yucky under the bandage so they cut a hole to treat  it. I was healed in about 2weeksbut was hot for 3 months. I still have a square suntan over the breast. I only wore singlets which did not help with fluid that gathered about surgery site, I wish I had worn a lymphbra earlier I have one now and it is a god send.

  • I used sorbolene and bio oil but burnt badly and then had to use solugel until it healed. Then used moo goo. I wish I had used moo goo to start with as it is great stuff. Use it as often as you can. If you use anything other than moo goo or sorbolene or bio oil make sure you check with the nurse. Also i was very gentle in the shower no rubbing just pat dry and used moo goo soap.

    Good luck with it all.

  • Hi Aqua

I will be having 6 months of chemo before 25 radiations, the cancer council had someone ring me & the kind lady advised me to use dove soap & aloe vera gel before & after treatments.

Hope your treatments go well for you.

  • Hi Tansy,

I know you will hear from the members very soon, but I just wanted to share these other posts on the Online Network that talked about Radiation. There may be a few hints & tips for you.
