Radiation
Hi everyone,
so, after 4 months of chemo (I won't go there, you all know what that's like!), mastectomy and now finally radiation.
i have just had radiation number 11, 14 more to go. So far so go...
Hi Linda, good to hear all is going smoothly so far with your radiation, sounds like you're doing all the right things :-)
Bummer though about your back. Not sure if my story might help but my back was really painful towards the end of treatment and it was partly to do with some degenerative osteoporosis but mostly because the mastectomy had unbalanced my spinal column and was exacerbating my (mild) scoliosis. After treatment (and reconstruction) I ended up seeing a physio who has helped me to strengthen my core and regain better balance and I don't have that agonising pain anymore. I understand from the physio that she often sees ladies who have had mastectomies and have subsequent back pain due to being lopsided. Perhaps this is worth looking into?
In any case, I hope you get some answers and some relief soon, and all the best for the remainder of your radiation treatment. Jane xx
