kittykatster That sounds painful and distressing for you :( I had the end-of-radiation chat a few days ago and was told that sort of reaction can occur.
From what I was told, that kind of reaction may require dressings. The nurse told me that I should go back to show them, or send them a photo to assess so they can give instructions (which may mean having to go back to see them).
My nurse gave me extra sorbolene (I think they said to use that for a few months but I have to check with my partner cause he remembers this stuff better than I do) as well as an antibacterial cream to use for a few days but I didn't have any broken skin.
Because it sounds like your skin has broken, I would get an expert opinion.
I'm sorry that you're going through that but hopefully the medical people can help make it comfortable for you.
