So sorry to see the burn. I am quite upset that this problem can be prevented or at least minimised. 2 1/2 years ago I had rads 5 days a week for 6 weeks without any burn or even a red mark. This is because the private clinic where I had my treatment applied a Mepitel Film prior to the radiation and the film was left on the breast until the end of the treatment.
I have been told that they don't use this film in the public system because of the cost involved so that is the disadvantage side while you get free treatment from the public system. I hope you will recover from the burn soon.
