Radiation - Which creams?

Hi all,

I've been a frequent visitor to this helpful & informative site & now have decided to post.

A quick run down : Routine biennial screen through Breast Screen WA (family history), f/up required, core needle biopsy, diagnosed with ICD, Left breast. ER/PR+, Her2 -. My lump not palpable!! Wide local excision, hookwire & SLN Biopsy.  10mm, margins clear. 0/3 Lymph Nodes.  Mirena IUD removed. Bilateral breast reduction (Being a H cup & having a 6 o'clock lump position is not conducive to radiation!!) Mild lymphoedema in left arm. Arm compression sleeve. Radiation starting next week to be f/up with Tamoxifen.

Tossing up between using QV Intensive cream or Moo Goo Udder Cream, not sure which will better to minimise damage to my reduction scars.  Sampled the Mepitel dressing however I developed a rash.  Grateful to be using the DIBH technique which has just started in WA. It's only available to private patients so we'll be out of pocket quite a few $. Looking forward to starting the Cancer Council Exercise classes in a couple of weeks &  to meeting others in the same boat.

Never thought I'd avoid cancer, just didn't expect to get in my 40's!  Hoping to get through radiation without too much drama/fatigue & that my lymphoedema stays under control.

Cheers,

Orchid
