Preventing radiotherapy skin reactions
Has anyone used StrataXRT gel during their radiotherapy to prevent skin reaction side effects? Would appreciate hearing about your experience.

l met with my radiation specialist today and asked about using Mepitel film for my radiation treatment, and she advised that they tend to use the film on ladies who had had a mastectomy, by not for ladies who had a lumpectomy (which is me).
She said they would prefer to use the Stata XRT gel on me and l will start treatment in à month. The reason given for not using the film is that it is hard to maintain when used to cover a complete breast. So l will try the gel and see how it goes, and provide feedback though it is a while away for my treatment to begin. Have to have last cycle of chemo first.
