Hi RosemaryC
Good luck with your radiotherapy. I am sure you will do well. Your scar will turn a little red during radiotherapy but this will fade in time. (I am now three months post radiotherapy and mine is now just a thin white line). Don't forget to mention any concerns you have with the radiotherapy staff or nurses - I found the nurses were great. If you start developing a mention this to the radiotherapy nurses asap as the cream they provide will stop the itching and help with the rash.
Glad to hear you are keeping up your exercise routine. I worked out during radiotherapy (lifting weights 3 x week and walking on a daily basis) and this definitely helped. If you begin to feel tired, eat more. My calories rose from 1500 a day to nearly 2300 a day (or thereabouts). The increased calories combated my tiredness. Listen to you body. If you feel tired, rest. If you feel hungry, eat (the right stuff of course). I worked out and walked before my treatment session and rested in the afternoons. You'll find what works for you within a week or so.
Good luck and all the best.
Sue
