Paclitaxel

Hi all, my next lot of treatments are Paclitaxel when I am well enough to start, and would like to know from anybody that has gone through this one or going through, helpful hints on side effects, recommendations on how to handle myself through these treatments as I am rather concerned , as my body was only able to handle 3 rounds of ac. thanks for any information that you can give Hugs xx

Hi @Berchel14, I just completed the 12 taxol (Wednesday) after the 4 x AC. I was fortunate that it went quite well for me. I am sorry you had such a rough time on the AC, I am keeping my fingers crossed that taxol is better for you. Taxol was much better for me, no nausea! I would totally recommend using ice treatment on your hands and feet to prevent neuropathy - there is a lot of info on here about it. My fingers have been really good and I have just had some tingling at times in my toes. I figured it was worth a try. I found that I got really tired toward the end of the 12 weeks. The one thing they worried about at the start of taxol was an allergic reaction, so for the first 2 cycles they gave me steroids. After the 2 cycles as I did not have a reaction I didn’t have steroids - thank goodness! Sending you lots of best wishes, you’ve got this! X

Thank you so much, I am a bit concerned about the next chemo hugs xx
