Out of the Shadows

Hi,

Thank you to everyone who posts and comments on this site. It is wonderful to see the support and information from fellow members.

I was diagnosed with invasive lobular bc at the beginning of June. I had a lumpectomy and sentinal node biopsy, then axilla surgery, followed by another one for a haematoma. This happened in the space of nine days and left me flat. The good news is I'm feeling so much better now!

The next step for me is chemo, which begins in August. I'm having AC ( 4 fortnightly) followed by Taxol (12 x weekly). After that will be radiation and hormones.

I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling that my head is spinning!

Hi again Genie, I have also had lobular cancer along with ductal cancer on the same breast. I had a mastectomy and auxiliary clearance in February this year, and have just finished my chemo, with radiation to come in August with oral hormone treatment to follow. As we are on a similar journey, I'm happy to link with you if you are interested. Warm wishes, Tracey B ??
