Nipple changes after radiation
My last radiation was 11th December. My skin has mostly healed now, apart from the darker skin on my flat tyre breast (I had skin & nipple sparing mastectomy) and under my arm. The last couple days ...
@MKitty68 my nipple retracted 4 months after radiotherapy ended and I panicked as is a sign of breast cancer.I saw my GP and had a mammogram , ultrasound and needle biopsy all of which came back clear. When I later saw my oncologist he told me it was a side effect of radiation. My nipple now whilst not retracted is much smaller than the other . But that said do get it checked out by your doctor to make sure all is well.
