Hi all, I received my diagnosis a couple of days ago from a surgeon who made Doc Martin seem like the Dalai Llama. Those guys really don't have people skills, do they?
Anyway, I'm a lot afraid and...
Being diagnosed with breast cancer is not a nice experience and I'm sorry to hear that yours was made even worse by the delivery. You are able to ask to see a different surgeon or doctor. Your relationship with him or her will be ongoing so it's best to have someone that you get along with.
To answer your question on slogans, I have some badges that I wear on hats:
"If only women paid as much attention to their breasts as men do"
"Fight like a girl"
"I can't remember a thing.... I have mammary loss"
"Hair by chemo"
"Yes they're fake, my real ones tried to kill me"
Whether you are one breasted, two breasted or no breasted, it's a two fisted fight."
and "BEWARE, chemo brain"
I wish you well with your upcoming treatment.
Repeat after me............ "Laughter is the BEST medicine" It seems that you have a sense of humour. When you're on a good thing, stick to it.
