Hi all, I received my diagnosis a couple of days ago from a surgeon who made Doc Martin seem like the Dalai Llama. Those guys really don't have people skills, do they?

Sorry you've joined the club but this forum is a great place to get support. If your surgeon doesn't "gel" with you, ask to be referred to a different one. You really don't need to feel like another statistic during your treatment. I've just finished chemo and can tell you that your treatment team are really integral in your journey. If you don't feel comfortable or someone irks you or treats you as less than human, find someone else. It sounds like you haven't had any surgery yet?
As for slogans, I'll have to put my thinking cap on and get back to you! Your positive outlook and sense of humour will help you get through. Cheers xo
