New member intro

Hi everyone,  I am a new member. I am in my early 40s, married with 2 daughters aged 9 and 12. In 2014 I had breast cancer and went through a year of treatment. I went back to my life,  beginning a job that I love. In late November, I went through reconstruction surgery and the recovery was brutal. I thought my back pain was from laying about for months. In February I went to the chemist and on the way back developed difficulty walking. My mother in law insisted that I go to emergency. An MRI revealed lesions on the spine. My world and my future disolved. My family are devastated. My husband and my youngest have nightmares almost every night.

Now I'm just finishing radio therapy on lesions in my neck and lumbar in the hope that my pain and mobility will improve. Unlike last time this radiotherapy has really knocked me around. I believe hormone therapy is next.

There are so many unknowns.  Will I be able to walk better? Will my mobility deteriorate? How much will I be able to work? How can I help my family? Can I live long enough so my girls will be adults? What questions do I need to ask to get the best care?

Already it has helped to read your posts and know that I am not alone.
