Last Chemo today....Heading to new chapter of Radio-theraphy

No I didn't put anything on prior to starting treatment.  I have however been using Aloe Vera Gell straight from the plant and then Moogoo Udder Cream over the top of that.  The Aloe Vera I apply three times a day and the Moogoo I apply 5 times per day and I drink 2 - 3 litres of water every day. 

The radiotherapist told me the burning will peak at approximately day 10 after treatment is finished.  I am at day 5 and so far so good.  Sore and tired but skin is holding up and hasn't broken down and no blisters.

Hi Joy, I hope I could be as lucky as like you when go through Radio, BTW, did u put on any special cream, or any precaution to start with?  I haven't meet the speical nurse yet, maybe until it start.  I've made some measurement and some tiny tattoo on my chest area.  Again, the nurses are very caring and lovable.

Yay for you, do the happy dance, its so awesome when chemo is over with. Most of us ladies that have had chemo find the radiation not too bad, its just the fatigue and that seems to stay a fact of our lives unfortunately.

I like you just feel that the whole treatment process is part of my history and when I think back I try and remember the good that accompanied my treatments, the family and friends that were there and supported me throughout.

Good on you Rosanna.  It is a milestone and very exciting when you finish chemo.  I finished mine almost 9 weeks ago and have since finished 25 rounds of radiotherapy.

 I didn't find radiotherapy anywhere near as bad as chemo.  Although at the moment I can't wear a bra and feel uncomfortable.  Skin has held up well.  The worst for you is definitely over.

Congratulations on finishing chemo. Hope you celebrated that milestone. Sounds like you are similar to my story 8 chemo, radiotherapy plus Herceptin. I am still on Arimidex 8 years later. Hope you are doing your exercises to try to avoid lymphoedema. I wore my sleeve for every infusion over that 18 month period and for radiotherapy as i had radio to 4 sites including axilla where all lymph nodes had been removed. Wore till swelling and heaviness went . Keep up.the positive attitude - you are over the worst now. Remember to be kind to yourself. Do what you can and can the rest! Your pink sister, Carol

Marg, I was schedule on 14th JULY, but I asked for postpone another week due to my son also had a jaw operation on 15th.
