Jaw Pain

Has anyone else had pain in their jaw after Chemo infusions? I have had it after all 3 Docetaxel chemos for about a week or so each time and then it goes away. I am wondering if I should get it checked out at the dentis or if it just another effect of chemo? Deanne xx

  • Are you taking Maxalon for nausea? I had a reaction to this drug after 1st chemo and its a bio-chemical reaction to the maxalon - lock jaw/pain in jaw plus vertigo feeling... Go and see your GP - it's called a dystonic reaction and means you can't have maxalon!

  • Thanks for putting my mind at rest. I'll keep up the panadol! Deanne xx
  • Hi Deanne. Yes I get that too every time and then it settles. I just use Panadol for it. I gather it must be normal. My oncologist hasn't said otherwise Good luck with your treatment Vanessa :)
