- melclarityMemberThanks Cate and Alice!! I rang my Pharmacist and I took an Antihistimine this morning which seems to have helped alot. How bizarre!!! I wont be happy if this builds up every time I have this injection. YIKES!!! I was concerned as my surgery is next Monday. As you say Cate, the Oncologist doesnt tell you the in depth side effects and mine also said it was nothing to take it...ummm easy for you to say!!! Hugs Melinda xo
- SoldierCrabMemberOh @melclarity hugs girl .... I have had itchy skin but not even thought it could be my prolia!! but no lumps so to speak of might be worth a call to GP or even ask the chemist? I am due mine soon when I have it this time I will be more aware to see if it is worse after my needle.
Hope it resolves sooner than later.
hugs and energy
Soldier Crab aka Alice - Cate64MemberMorning @melclarity, I to suffer terrible skin irritation from Prolia or in my case Xgeva (both Denosumab though used for different purposes I believe), this is something I have had to figure out for myself. The Oncologist never once mentioned it as a side effect, yet reading & researching for myself it is a very common one.
It has been uncontrollable, nothing in the way of creams/ointments the Doctor threw at it had any effect. It is now, after 12 months of monthly injections starting to resolve by itself. (I hope I havent just jinxed myself saying that)
